A panel of local people telling their story, each person is living with a disability. Four first-person 10 minute stories told in person, which may be funny, sad, shocking or educational.

This event has been inspired by the book Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the Twenty-First Century – a series of essays edited by Alice Wong which features 37 first-person stories. The essays in the book include stories about assistive technologies, fashion, justice, homophobiamedical caremedical abusepsychotherapy, racism, relationships and sex.

Kaleidoscope is a programme at Storyhouse for and about people who are living with a disability. The festival features events including crafts, clubbing, dance, drama, poetry, performances and a colourful festival parade along with fascinating personal stories.
