Autobiographical and made entirely from personal archive and home video diaries, Jason Barker and his partner invite you into their world, sharing their difficult decisions, processes and moments of joy and heartbreak in their journey to become parents.
From maternity clothes to gender dysphoria, vulnerability and resilience. A Deal with the Universe, released in 2019 – and filmed over 15 years, delivers a unique and intimate insight into the struggles of becoming a parent and gender identity.
After the film, there will be an exclusive recorded Q&A with Producer Loran Dunn & Director Jason Barker – hosted by the Storyhouse Young Film Programmers.
