From maternity clothes to gender dysphoria, vulnerability and resilience. A Deal with the Universe, released in 2019, is the debut documentary of Transgender male Jason Barker. Made entirely from personal archives and home video diaries, Jason tells the story of his pregnancy and how it came to be.

After the film, there will be a recorded Q&A with director Jason Barker, and the producer of the film Loran Dunn, hosted by Storyhouse Young Programmers.

We need to programme this documentary as it gives a positive view of a real trans man and his family.’’ – Zach Waddington, Young Programmer.
