Recent events have raised questions about the appropriateness of current housing and highlighted the interconnectedness of things here on ‘Spaceship Earth’. This has prompted many of us to think deeply about the places that we call home. What should tomorrow’s homes provide? What is essential to a home? Can a home better adapt to changing needs? Can our homes provide us with more meaningful connections with the wider environment? What does a house look like when re-sale value isn’t driving its design?
Architect and Lecturer, Simon Winter, will explore a selection of ideas that relate to these themes.
Lunchtime Lectures is a collaboration between Storyhouse and the University of Chester, providing an open platform for debate on a range of topics and fascinating subjects.
They take place on the third Tuesday of each month.
Our Lunchtime Lectures are videoed and archived for future viewing, by attending you give permission for us to do so – thanks!
