Originally working as an Illustrator, Andrew’s background has spanned 25 years working across design, multi-media, community outreach and arts regeneration projects. He is currently Programme Leader for the BA Graphic Design Degree at the University of Chester.
Over and above the content of a degree subject, new undergraduate students are often faced with an overload of information and a struggle to adjust to university teaching practice and the expectation to learn independently.
Andrew will be giving a presentation about using the informal approach of an ‘activity booklet’, ‘40 Tasks to Pass’ supports induction by helping the student to understand core basics of the degree through a series of exploratory and creative tasks.
