Directed by Kelly Fremon Craig
Starring Abby Ryder Forston, Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, Benny Safdie, Elle Graham, Isol Young

When 11-year-old Margaret moves from New York City to the suburbs she has to navigate a new school, new friendships, new feelings, and a changing body as she moves toward adolescence.

Based on Judy Blume’s bestselling teen novel, this 1970s set period piece is a real joy. Rachel McAdams shines as Margaret’s artistic mom trying to fit in to her new suburban environment, and Kathy Bates is hilarious as the Margaret’s beloved grandmother left behind in New York, but it is the young cast that capture the moments and the timeless rights-of-passage in the journey to becoming a grown-up.

A warm and sweet film that brings Blume’s seminal book to life.
