This event will run twice: from 10am – 4pm on Wednesday 4 & Thursday 5 April, and from 10am – 4pm on Wednesday 11 & Thursday 12 April.
You must attend both days to achieve the award


At this two-day course your child will try acting and dancing and discover the world of the arts, discover all of the artists and other job roles that help make Storyhouse a cultural organisation. The children create their own piece of creative writing and complete a Explore Log Book.

A sharing event for parents and carers will take place on the second day at 3pm. Your Child will receive a certificate from Trinity College London within 6-8 weeks. Arts Award Explore is an Arts Award Explore is an Entry Level (Entry 3) qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).


Arts Award is range of unique qualifications that supports anyone aged up to 25 to grow as artists and arts leaders, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through taking challenges in an art form – from fashion to digital art, pottery to poetry.


This course is for 9-11 year olds.

Children can be supervised by parent/carer or not but parents will be asked to complete an emergency contact form if they choose to leave the child in the care of the Storyhouse staff member.
Please provide a drink and lunch for your child.

This course will be 10am – 4pm on both days, with a sharing event for families at 3pm on the Thursday
