Two young Londoners discover they have feelings for one another, when abused and beaten Ste runs to his neighbour Jamie for help.

Before the screening of Beautiful Thing, there will be a short talk by Gary Williams, creator of Make A Scene Manchester Film Club. 
He will be discussing the following points:

• Do you remember the first gay love story you saw on screen?
• How are LGBT love stories different from their straight counter parts?
• Has shame always been a third character in gay love stories?
• In the year of Moonlight and Call Me By Your Name what is the future of gay love on screen?

There will be no trailers or adverts before the screening.
