Hear from Ben Thexton, a young family man from the Wirral, whose life was changed after a serious road traffic accident in 2012 which left him in a life-threatening situation in an induced coma.
In his book An Unexpected Journey, Ben talks about trying to navigate through a normal life after surviving a traumatic brain injury.
He carried on with his life, keeping himself busy and throwing himself into everything that came his way. He got married, continued to work full time and had a child, but at that point, Ben finally reached breaking-point and asked for help.
And then yet another life-changing event put further strain on his recovery.
Find out how these events have changed the way Ben looks at life and the mechanisms he has used to cope with the new challenges he faces. Even in the face of such adversity, he has managed to see the positive and he is now helping others in a similar situation by supporting local charities such as HIP In Cheshire and is studying to be a coach and mentor.
Ben will be interviewed by Anna Jackson, inspirational speaker and Paralympian athlete.
