EA Technology has been awarded a Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) funded project to design, develop and install a commercial building’s smart micro-power grid using a heat pump for space heating and with a fully integrated local PV supply and electric battery for its Unit 4 building at Capenhurst Science Park.
Cameron Downing was previously a Masters of Engineering in Electronic & Electrical Engineering (EEE) student at the University of Chester and is now a post-graduate researcher at Chester fully funded by EPSRC. He is also studying for a PhD in Optimising Control System Design.
Jess Green is a final year BEng EEE student at the University of Chester and her final year project is the implementation of the optimising smart grid controller for the Unit 4 building.
