Featuring a superb performance from Vicky Krieps in the lead role, Corsage is a bold, subversive and mischievous retelling of the story of Empress Elisabeth ‘Sisi’ of Austria. As she approaches her 40th birthday Empress Elisabeth has grown bored of her ceremonial role and Royal appearances, plus the pressure to maintain her stature as a ‘great beauty’ has become tiresome. Sharing similarities with Marie Antoinette and Spencer, Corsage is a period drama served with a heavy dose of rebellion and a punkish attitude. 

Winner of the Best Film Award at the London Film Festival.
