This lecture features recent work made in response to the life and writing of the author of Under the Volcano (1947) – Malcolm Lowry – who was born in New Brighton in 1909.

Cian Quayle is an artist and Programme Leader in BA Photography at the University of Chester. Quayle’s practice investigates time, place and memory, and is manifest in artworks derived from journeys, encounters and ideas of place.

Lunchtime Lectures is a collaboration between Storyhouse and the University of Chester, providing an open platform for debate on a range of topics and fascinating subjects.
