Ella Turner is a doctoral student in the Faculty of Education and Children’s Services at the University of Chester.  She is currently conducting ethnographic research in to academic and professional staff identities in higher education.

Ella will be giving a presentation on the reconsideration of values in higher education: A Nietzschean perspective. It will explore ‘tectonic’ shifts in higher education with specific reference to the neoliberal political culture and its impact on the meeting of diverse staff identities involved in learning and teaching.
