Directed by Monica Zanetti
Starring: Zoe Terakes, Sophie Hawkshaw, Julia Billington, Marta Dusseldorp

17-year-old Ellie has a serious crush on her classmate Abbie and is struggling to find the courage to ask her to the Year 12 formal. When Ellie accidentally spills the beans to her mum and outs herself in the process, things start to get complicated and a little bit spooky, when her deceased aunt Tara, a lesbian activist from the ‘80s, returns from the dead as a “Fairy Godmother” to dish out advice whether Ellie wants it or not.

A fresh take on the universal ‘first love’ story, this Australian teen lesbian rom-com bundles humour, heart and history into a super-sweet, yet punchy feature, whilst paying homage to Sydney’s LGBTIQ+ activist history.

A note when you’re booking…
In order to maintain social distancing at Storyhouse, after you choose your seats the system will remove the seats next to you from sale so that you/your group will be distanced from other audience members.
