Emma is a drama for learning practitioner who has over 20 years experience working with schools to develop creative approaches to the curriculum. She is an Approved Trainer in Mantle of the Expert, a lecturer, theatre maker and drama for learning practitioner.
Mantle of the Expert is a dramatic inquiry approach to teaching and learning. This practical workshop will introduce teachers and practitioners to the creation of imagined, co-created learning contexts which offers children an opportunity to explore, discuss and evaluate creative worlds so that they can develop skills and acquire knowledge. It will take participants through the beginning stages of a mantle inquiry and introduce them to some of key elements. It is for those teachers who are interested in exploring a more story-based way of exploring the curriculum.
