Exploring Photography is a new Storyhouse program for photographers of all skill levels and interests. Meeting monthly, the program seeks to explore different concepts of photography, from still life to portraiture to landscape and everything in between. No prior experience is needed, and while access to a DSLR is beneficial, any level of camera will work in these interactive workshops.

November’s session is focused on light painting, exploring the relationship between shutter speed and cool light art.

December’s session is focused on portraiture. We will start with looking at a classic headshot in a studio environment, discuss how to replicate it out in the world without pricey equipment, and then explore how we can improve upon the basic headshot.

The workshops will be lead by Dylan Scillia, to see some of Dylan’s work click here

Can’t make the monthly meetings? Fear not! Dylan is holding weekly drop-in sessions where you can chat about what the group did, personal photography, or ask any questions you might have.
Drop-in sessions will take place in The Kitchen on:
Friday 10 January between 1-2pm; Monday 13 January between 4-5pm; and Wednesday 22 January between 7-8pm.
