Chester’s Town Crier, David Mitchell, will perform his one-man show presenting the humorous life of a town crier, together with some quirky snippets from Chester’s rich history.
A Note from David:
You may have read/heard about the Pomeroy family in the press or on radio in recent weeks. Rob and Sharon Pomeroy have been living in Chester for some 30 years and had twins 17 years ago. Their twins were born with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. Both have severe problems, but Mo is the most severely disabled and needs 24-hour care. The Pomeroys therefore live in a home that doubles as a hospital facility with lots of specialist equipment and nurses who care for Mo at nights. As Mo has got older his needs have increased such that the family now need to move to a bigger, specially-adapted home. You can read their story here: https//ahomeformo.com/
Even after selling their existing home the Pomeroys need to raise a further £300,000 to move to a suitable new home. So, with the support of friends, they have set up an appeal to raise the required finance. I have known the Pomeroys for over 20 years and am in awe of their dedication to their twins, so I have offered to perform my one-man show for them as a fund-raiser.
