This summer, for the first time, Chester joins in on a celebration of the flagship season with two classic operatic fairy tales streamed LIVE to Storyhouse Theatre. Audiencecan relish in the opportunity to dress up for a day, take advantage of exceptional opera and enjoy an indoor garden party complete with pop-up stalls including Pimm’s and Fizz offers, and complimentary canapes served during the interval.

A brand new production originally conceived and directed by critically-acclaimed actor and director Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter, Killing Eve), and now revived and directed by Fiona Dunn, the classic Cinderella story is told with composer Massenet’s sensuous and lavish score.

Glyndebourne favourite and international star Danielle de Niese plays the titular role in this glittering and colourful opera.

For our live streamed Glyndebourne events, we will be bringing the outdoors in. Join us for our ‘indoor garden party’ with pop-up stalls with Pimms and Fizz offers, plus complimentary canapes served during the interval.
