Nia has an interest in exploring holistic education and alternative pedagogical approaches which led to her current role as Regional Lead for the Lead Creative Schools scheme, an Arts Council of Wales and Welsh Government initiative.
Gwenfair worked for OPRA Cymru, a Welsh language opera company touring the country with Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore. She has been Regional Officer on the Lead Creative Schools scheme since 2017.
Nia and Gwenfair will present a workshop on Creative learning through the arts, a jointly funded programme by the Arts Council of Wales and the Welsh Government. The programme supports the four purposes which are at the heart of Curriculum for Wales; the new curriculum which will be introduced from September 2022. Having reached over 500 schools to date, this presentation will discuss the programme and how it is contributing to wider education reform.
