A maverick doctor has developed a controversial new procedure to help the terminally ill. A mother with cancer wants to be his patient. Jilly the gorilla would rather be hanging out with David Attenborough in the jungle, but no one’s asking her…this new comic/tragic farce by award-winning writer Cathy Bryant examines themes of class, betrayal, friendship, and scientific ethics.

Winner of the 2019 High Sheriff’s Literature prize, Cathy Bryant has been working with director, John Young, on a play called ‘Head to head’. To watch a ‘script in hand sharing of the workshop’, please click here and join us for a live broadcast on Thursday 17 December at 7pm.

This event is a collaboration between the University of Chester and Storyhouse.
