Communication is necessary for all aspects of life, especially in the increasingly digitalised workplace.

This interactive workshop aims to guide you through the steps required for effective communication, whether it be with your team, your boss, or just in everyday life.

During the workshop, which has been tailored to suit women from all walks and stages of life, you will be able to:

  • explore your verbal communication
  • improve your non-verbal communication
  • learn how to talk about yourself with confidence
  • understand how to network effectively

Maggie Chen is co-founder of Girls in Charge, an award-winning, non-profit social enterprise with an international presence.

Girls in Charge workshops focus on confidence, entrepreneurial skills and knowledge development, but in the most fun and creative way possible.

She is also Chair of the Engagement Board at Cheshire & Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership where she influences regional economic development and champions youth engagement in policy.

Through this, and Girls in Charge, she has been invited to the House of Lords several times on topics related to entrepreneurship and education.

She is also an international speaker and educator, having tutored at the United States’ Stanford University, delivered keynote speeches in China and the UK, and created a masterclass for Tatler on social impact.

Maggie has worked with international listed corporate clients such as Fiverr and Flex, but also loves to go back to her roots, delivering gamified workshops for educational institutions and charities.

She has received multiple awards for outstanding achievement and social impact from the University of Oxford, as well as Cartier and Northern Power Women.
