Part of: Storyhouse Languages

Led by Artist-researcher Dr Young Maeng

King Se-Jong made his own Korean language, Hangeul 한글, for everyone to read and write easily in 1443. Hangeul is one of the most beautiful and easiest languages to learn in the world.

Korean ink painting has a rich tradition, which flourished throughout the golden age of Korean Art during the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1897), and incorporates traditional Neo-Confucian ideology. This beautiful style of painting is still widely practiced in the contemporary art world.

In this calligraphy session you will learn a few words of Hangeul and make a beautiful bookmark or postcard.
