Stars: Emma Thompson, Mindy Kaling, Amy Ryan, John Lithgow, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Ike Barinholtz

Mindy Kaling (The Office, Ocean’s 8) writes and stars in a warm and witty dramedy exposing life behind TV’s woman-less writer rooms.

Emma Thompson stars as Katherine Newbury – a legendary late-night talk-show host who, upon the realisation that her days on top are dwindling due to low ratings and accusations of misogyny, makes the impulsive decision to hire the shows first female writer, Molly (Mindy Kaling). Intended to smooth over diversity concerns, the plucky new hire sets out on proving herself as more than just a diversity hire as she sets out on revitalising the show and career of Katherine, who now faces a TV network that wants to replace her.
