Come and hear how the comic medium provides experiences unlike any others and why these experiences continue to provide excellent contexts for comedy, satire and parody – all genres in which comics excel.

Dr Simon Grennan, Leading Research Fellow in the Faculty of Humanities, scholar of Victorian comics and acclaimed comic strip artist himself, will take you through a roller-coaster ride, sparkling with the dazzling work of comic artists from around the globe and across history.

 

Lunchtime Lectures is a collaboration between Storyhouse and the University of Chester, providing an open platform for debate on a range of topics and fascinating subjects.

They take place on the third Tuesday of each month (not the third Thursday as advertised in the latest guide)
