Director: John Carroll Lynch
Starring: Harry Dean Stanton, David Lynch, Tom Skerritt
Lucky (Harry Dean Stanton in his final screen role) is a cantankerous, self-reliant 90 year old atheist. Having out-lived and out-smoked all of his contemporaries, the fiercely independent Lucky finds himself at the precipice of life, thrust into a journey of self-exploration, leading towards that which is so often unattainable: enlightenment. Living in a small Arizonan town populated by quirky characters Lucky comes to terms with the process of aging and faces up to his own mortality. Lucky is a film of great warmth and humanity, it is also effortlessly cool with a true indie vibe.
Lucky, is at once a love letter to the life and career of Harry Dean Stanton as well as a meditation on mortality, loneliness, spirituality, and human connection.
There will be 15-20 minutes of trailers and adverts before the screening (not included in duration).
