English Touring Opera returns to Chester with two operas never before performed by the company, featuring love, comedy and epic tragedy. Both operas are performed on period instruments in partnership with the much-praised Old Street Band.

Donizetti’s Lucrezia Borgia is a tragic masterpiece, led by one of opera’s great antiheroines – known to history as one of history’s most famous poisoners, Lucrezia is a complex woman in a dangerous situation, a cunning strategist and a loving mother at the same time. Eloise Lally directs this new production.

There will be a FREE pre show talk before this performance. Click here to find out more and reserve your place.

English Touring Opera will also be performing, Il Viaggio a Reims click here to find out more.
