Welcome back to Storyhouse. We put customer safety at the top of everything we do, however at this time that means a little more than making sure you don’t get struck inadvertently by an actor! It now also means keeping 2 metres apart and wearing a face covering whilst in the building, except when eating or drinking. We will be asking all our customer to both enjoy themselves and to stick to some easy to follow guidelines. Find out how we’re keeping you safe here

Directed by George C. Wolfe
Starring: Viola Davies, Chadwick Boseman, Glynn Turman, Colman Domingo, Michael Potts

Chicago, 1927. A recording session. Tensions rise between Ma Rainey (Viola Davis), her ambitious horn player (Chadwick Boseman), and the white management determined to control the legendary ‘Mother of the Blues’. Based on August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, the film is hotly tipped for awards in 2021 – with Chadwick Boseman expected to get nominated posthumously for his last starring role.
