The government have advised that, whilst stopping short of forcing theatres and cinemas to close, people should stay away, and so Storyhouse will be temporarily closed from Tuesday 17 March. We are not yet sure how long this will be for, but this does affect a number of events, shows and screenings.

This film is no longer planned to go ahead, and we are working to see if we can find an alternative date. We will be in touch with all bookers as quickly as we can with more information.
If you have not heard from us by midnight on Friday 20 March, please click here.

We are humbled by the support of our staff, volunteers and wider community and thank you for your patience as we work through each event and contact all customers. There is no need to get in touch with us.

Remember to stay safe and look after each other.

Directed by: Marjane Satrapi, Vincent Paronnaud
Starring: Geena Rowlands, Chiara Mastroianni, Catherine Deneuve

Based on Marjane Satrapi’s autobiographical novel, Persepolis follows the story of a young Iranian girl forced to leave her country during the Islamic Revolution. The peculiar editorial style of the film and witty humour brings together the past and the present life of Marjane in colour and black-and-white editing. The story of this rebellious character has the power to inspire those who are still searching for their true selves.
