The night comprises firstly kicking off with open mic slots, – simply turn up on the night and sign up (first come, first served). More relaxed, no judges and you can read from your script.
Next will be the Slam – eight previously selected poets will slam it out throughout 3 rounds culminating in the final round. Poets will have 30 seconds each round to perform their memorised chosen piece of work. Judges will score and the two finalists will perform their full piece for a 5 minute slot to close the night.
