As a girl Polina has trained hard to become part of the prestigious Bolshoi ballet, however when she falls in love with a French dancer who introduces her to contemporary dance she plots to leave Russia for a move to France. A coming of age story.

The film will be introduced by a talk from Professor Timo Obergöker, Professor of French and Francophone Cultural Studies at the University of Chester. He is passionate about French film and the ‘making of France’ in everyday life and popular culture.

Preceded by a short film as part of the International Animation Festival.
