This Postgraduate Information Event is a great opportunity for prospective students to visit Chester’s award-winning Storyhouse and find out more about the University of Chester postgraduate courses that Storyhouse are involved with: MA Creative Practices in Education and MRes Storytelling. At this event you have the opportunity to speak to staff, students and alumni about our courses with Storyhouse and what life is like as a postgraduate student with the University of Chester and Storyhouse.

What are University of Chester and Storyhouse postgraduate courses?
University of Chester and Storyhouse work together on our MA Creative Practices in Education and MRes Storytelling courses. The opportunity to learn within diverse partnership provides a unique experience to practice as you’re taught, and experience first-hand how an ever-evolving organisation like Storyhouse works.
During the Postgraduate Information Event, representatives from the following departments will be available to discuss further information and answer any questions on MA Creative Practice in Education, MRes in Storytelling and The Alumni Department. There will also be a variety of University alumni present to share stories and get an understanding of what the students achieve in life after university.
The two courses available are:
MA Creative Practice in Education

MA Creative Practice in Education innovatively links practice and theory within the arts, education and the professions. Designed specifically for professionals working in education, libraries, museums, galleries, the arts, health, culture, justice, business, heritage and sports coaching. Generate connections between your creative practice and theory across the arts, education and the professions.
MRes in Storytelling

This MRes will give you a detailed critical understanding of the study of stories, storytelling and narrative in English. The Department of English will facilitate the opportunity for you to work with an eternal practitioner, including Storyhouse and Chester Literature Festival, the Grosvenor Museum, Louder Than Words Festival and Gladstone’s Library.
This event is in the Garret Bar and Theatre, on the 4th floor.
