Proud Marys will be performing in the Kitchen as part of LGBTQIA+ History Month.
Proud Marys is Chester’s first and only LGBT+ choir. Since it exploded onto the city’s arts scene in 2018, the choir has entertained crowds, pride celebrations, civic functions, parties and corporate functions. Its contributions to Owain Wynne Jones’ BBC Big House Band during the first lockdown and the global online launch of ABBA’s first album in 30 years have enjoyed hundreds of thousands of views online.
Proud Marys’ membership is diverse, with more than 40 singers aged from 18 to 80 and from all sections of our wonderful LGBT+ community. Led by musical director Matt Baker, the choir has continued to thrive during the pandemic, but is now excited to be returning to in-person performances. Visit www.proudmaryschester.uk or follow the choir on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for further information.
