A lot can happen in two years. In March 2020, RAWD closed their doors for what they thought would be a few weeks. Over 12 months later, a disabled arts community built over 10 years took their first steps back into the rehearsal room, and things were never the same again.

RAWD Talks is a new documentary film that follows Merseyside organisation RAWD as they navigate isolation, finding connection through zoom, a nervous return to in person sessions and the fearless creative flow that followed.

Inspired by interviews with the disabled artists, parents, carers, facilitators and behind the scenes rehearsal footage, we invite you to take a peek into the world of RAWD and how the pandemic changed the landscape of our organisation forever.

RAWD is a company dedicated to helping disabled people grow within the arts. They host weekly groups in Birkenhead and Liverpool and their sessions provide access to high quality theatre, dance and performing arts based workshops with industry professionals.

Captioned and BSL Interpreted.

This film will be playing on loop all day. You can listen to it by wearing a headphone set. The film will stop playing whilst the Flash Mob is happening at 2.30pm until approx. 3.30pm.
