Details

This is a promenade event. Please let us know if you have any access requirements in advance so we can ensure the route is as accessible as possible.

In Real Chester, part of Seren’s Real series, Clare Dudman walks all the streets of Chester within the walls, exploring their history and culture in words and pictures.

She now invites you to explore some of these streets with her – discovering the history of the buildings, and just as importantly, the people that lived there and gave the city its life. The walk will start and finish at Chester Town Hall where there will be a short talk about the book (in inclement weather this will be extended to include a virtual tour.)

About the author
Clare Dudman has lived in Chester for thirty two years, and is the author of four novels and several short stories. Her writing has won several awards including the inaugural Sheriff of Cheshire’s Prize for Literature. Before becoming a writer she was a research scientist and a teacher.
