Part of: LGBTQIA+ History Month 2022

Directed by Harri Shanahan and Siân A. Williams

Rebel Dykes follows a tight-knit group of friends who met at Greenham Common peace camp and became artists, performers, musicians and activists in London. A hot, heady, punky, sexy mash-up of animation, previously unseen rare archive footage and new interviews tells the story of a radical scene: squatters, anti-Thatcher rallies, protests demanding action around AIDS and the fierce ties of chosen families. Co-directors Harri Shanahan and Siân A. William have created one of the most innovative and inspiring debut documentaries.

This screening will be followed by a recorded Q&A with Producers Yvonne Taylor and Siobhan Fahey; Directors Harri Shanahan and Siân A. Williams; Music Supervisor Ellyot Eva Ben-Ezzer, hosted by Reclaim The Frame.
