Part of: Spring Wellbeing

Local artist Lydia O’Hara will be leading walks through Chester starting and ending at Storyhouse.  Participants will be encouraged to find different ways to experience their surroundings and ground themselves whilst encountering some of the Spring Blooms art installations along the way. The group will then be invited to create artwork back at Storyhouse using their experiences on the walk as inspiration. No previous art experience is necessary, so all are welcome! Walks will be pram and wheelchair friendly (to include some up and downhill), with a 30 minute route which will take up to an hour with stops followed by one hour art making at Storyhouse.

Please wear suitable footwear for walking and dress for the weather!

Lydia O’Hara is an artist and trainee art therapist living and working in Cheshire. Her practice explores the ways in which we experience our world through our bodies using a variety of media, including participatory arts, performance, video, painting, music and installation. Lydia graduated Kingston University with MA Experimental Filmmaking and Chelsea College of Art with BA Fine Art and is currently studying at University of Chester to qualify as an art therapist.
