Part of: Educating Creatively Conference

Sarah is in the final year of studies towards an MA in Creative Practices in Education at The University of Chester. She has also worked in Further Education for the last 5 years, providing specialist support to students with additional learning needs within the art, design, media and music department.

Sarah will be delivering a presentation exploring the importance of making by hand, using the construction of craft as a visual metaphor for learning. Championing craft’s relevance and seeking to advocate the holistic benefits and opportunities for tacit learning, my research seeks to present an argument for craft practice within the discourse of creative learning.
