Body Positive is a Cheshire charity that has been promoting sexual health and LGBT+ awareness for over 25 years.

At this event, Body Positive’s Colin Avery will talk to fellow members of Silver Rainbows will discuss what it means to be your authentic self, and coming out in later life; inspired by the book Mr Loverman by Bernadine Evaristo.

One of the most common questions people get asked when they come out as gay in later life is “Why have you decided to be a different person now?” The panel will discuss some of the plot points from Mr Loverman and will share some of their own personal experiences. They’ll also offer the floor to anyone in the audience who may want to share their own story  – perhaps you’ve come out in later life, or supported someone else.
