Ray (Daniel Craig), a schizophrenic, is released from a psychiatric hospital into the care of his brother Pete (David Morrisey). Pete already has a full-time job working at his café-cum-restaurant, and scarcely has the time to provide the care that Ray needs. As each of the two brothers embarks on their own tentative romance things start to spin out of control.
