An astonishing record of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s 1914-16 Endurance expedition to Antarctica, South is an extraordinary account of one of the greatest survival stories in the history of exploration. 

Digitally remastered by BFI National Archive with a newly commissioned score by Neil Brand to mark the centenary of Shackleton’s death in January 2022. 

This screening will have an introduction by Storyhouse Young Programmer Charlie Nelson.
