Originally from Greece, Stavros is currently the Head of Music at the prestigious international school, Concord College (UK) Alongside his full-time teaching commitments Stavros remains active both as a performer, conductor, sound recording engineer and music producer.

Stavros will discuss the extent to which an annual performing art showcase at a UK international boarding school, has the capacity to foster the kind of values that are central to the Critical Global Citizenship Education (CGCE) agenda. My findings provide a reflective insight into my institution’s creative approach to CGCE in practice and suggest that the performing arts can play a crucial role in enhancing the students’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development by making global learning more relevant and enjoyable.
