Body & Brain – Finding Your Inner Resources

We now know more about our brains than we ever knew before.   In this workshop I will be sharing some key facts that will help you understand how our brain actually works and why feeling safe underpins our well-being and our ability to respond rather than react.

I will also share some simple tools and techniques that can help you:

  • feel safe
  • calm yourself and manage your emotions
  • stretch your comfort zone so you can enjoy trying new things without fear

Choice: Friend or Foe? Part 1

Whether you feel you have too much or too little choice as adults we make approximately 35,000 choices every day!

This session will run over two weeks – Monday 26th February & Monday 19th March.

Our focus in the first session will be exploring the different facets of choice through personal reflection and discussion – what is it?  do we always have it?  is it a good thing? etc.

Then in the second session we turn our attention towards our personal experience of how we use choice.

NB You do not need to have attended the first session (26 Feb) in order to join us for the second one (19 Mar).

This session will be facilitated by both Lucy Holbrook and Louise Dudley

The Voice in My Head – Sustaining or Shaming?

In this workshop we will be exploring the impact of language on our perceptions, feelings, thinking and ultimately behaviour too.  Language is basis of our communication; Almost everything we do depends on talking and listening – whether this is with someone else or ourselves.  Talking enables us to process our experience in the present which helps us not get stuck in the past.

Yet what conversations do we have with ourselves – how much do we sustain ourselves or shame ourselves with our self-talk?

Outcomes
Understanding Language of Safety Model
Learning how well you listen to yourself
Exploring your “self-talk” and reframing your shaming messages into sustaining ones
Embodying your sustaining self-talk

This session will be facilitated by Lucy Holbrook

The Goddess and The Gremlin

In this workshop we use guided visualisation and journalling as well as group coaching exercises to look at the Goddess and the Gremlin, both of whom we need to be aware of on own quest for individual joy. These are tools which aid and prevent us choosing what we desire.

You will come away with:
A deep connection to your own inner resources
An awareness of how we can recognise when we are getting in our own way of stepping out of our comfort zones
Techniques to tap into our own goddesses inner resource when we need her
Techniques and awareness on how to manage the internal dialogue of our own personal Gremlin.

This session will be facilitated by Louise Dudley
