Storyhouse Women think-ins are relaxed, fun and interactive gatherings of like-minded people to help shape the future of Storyhouse Women.
Storyhouse Women is a year-round programme of events at Storyhouse, an an annual festival weekend, celebrating what it means to be a woman or girl in the world today. It is a chance to explore topics that affect anyone who identifies as a woman or a girl. We want to create a safe space to discuss and tackle these topics. Previous festivals have included line-ups of incredible women who have shared their stories and experiences with Chester, and events that have inspired and enabled us to create change. Imposter syndrome is real – don’t let it stop you attending. All ideas are welcome and no idea is too big or too small. In the previous years the weekend has included panel discussions from domestic abuse survivors, Syrian refugees, young activists, former addicts, transgender women, academics and more and talks on sexual consent, period poverty, global feminism, the gender pay gap, and more. We want to hear from YOU about what you’d like to see, discuss, challenge, perform, celebrate and more.
