Join the Summer Reading Challenge at Storyhouse!

Are you aged 4-11 or know someone who is? The Summer Reading Challenge is a national initiative to challenge you to read six books during the school summer holidays. If you sign up, you can take out any library book you fancy – story books, fact books, joke books, picture books…anything!

Register for the challenge from Saturday 13 July in the Den.

All you have to do is read 6 books over the summer and collect rewards along the way including bookmarks, glasses and window stickers. There’s also a certificate and medal to collect, given out at special award ceremonies in September.

This year’s Summer Reading Challenge takes place in space, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing. What are you waiting for? Go!

What else is happening?

There will be FREE Drop-in Space-themed Crafts every Tuesday and Thursday from Tue 30 July – Thu 29 August (exc. Tue 27 Aug) – 2.30pm – 4pm.

We’ve also got a range of (free) Summer Reading Challenge activities! Although free, the events must be booked, and children must have a library card and be signed up for the Summer Reading Challenge.
