Part of: Storyhouse Parent

Founder of MummyYoga based in Chester, Rehana Jawadwala is on a mission to build a community which will help and support parents through the issues we face with our mental health.

Rehana will be telling her story and explaining why she is so passionate about Mothers’ Mental Health Matters Project (#MMhM).

She will be joined by Tania Stanway and Kirsteen Langton-Flint from CWP Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team Cheshire and Mersey Specialist Perinatal Service who will highlight the range of issues that women are likely to face and how mental health means different things to different people and how it is a wider problem than perceived.

About Mothers’ Mental Health Matters Project (#MMhM)

Founder of MummyYoga, Dr. Rehana Jawadwala has been involved with perinatal mental health agenda since her meeting at the House of Commons last year. After galvanising more than 300 women to come forward with their mental health stories, the Mothers’ Mental health Matters (#MMhM) project was born. This project aims to support women and families through their journey from fertility issues into early parenthood. The aim is to provide community based solutions that will bring together peer support and help reduce social isolation.
