John Dahl’s neo-noir has one of the all time great femme fatale performances from Linda Fiorentino as Bridget Gregory. Having made off with the ill-gotten gains of a drug deal, Bridget washes up in Beston, a tiny town in New York State. There she pulls Mike (Peter Berg) into her web and starts living a suburban life. Needless to say, her hardboiled past catches up with her, with her robbed husband (Bill Pullman) hot on her trail. Before long she is manipulating everyone in town to deadly effect.
