Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri is a darkly comic drama from Martin McDonagh (In Bruges). After months have passed without a culprit in her daughter’s murder case, Mildred Hayes (Frances McDormand) makes a bold move, painting three signs leading into her town with a controversial message directed at the town’s revered chief of police, Willoughby (Woody Harrelson). As Mildred seeks answers that Willoughby can’t give her the townsfolk become increasingly outraged by her behaviour. McDormand has never been better as the mother fuelled by anger and a need for justice.
