Do Nothing. Stay and Fight. Or leave. These are the three choices that a colony of Mennonite women are faced with after years of violence inflicted on them by male members of their community. To leave will go against their religious beliefs, to stay will result in more hurt, and to do nothing puts their daughters at continued risk. Over one fateful day the women discuss their options, vote, and share their experiences.

Sarah Polley directs a stellar ensemble of female talent in this beautifully photographed and gripping tale of emancipation. Based on the novel by Canadian writer Miriam Toewes.
