If you are passionate about theatre, interested in using the arts as a tool for social development and want to build your skills as a theatre facilitator or youth mentor, we have the opportunity for you…

We are looking for volunteers to support our work with young people in youth theatre! We have several opportunities available supporting young people aged 5 – 16.

Opportunities available are:

  • Workshop volunteer
  • Production chaperone

Please note that all volunteers aged 18 and over will be required to undergo a DBS check and complete an application for a volunteer chaperone licence, which will be provided by Storyhouse.

Workshop volunteer

You will work closely with our youth theatre facilitators and support them as they deliver their session. You may be asked to deliver parts of the session, and you will be supported to create your own plan. This is an exciting opportunity for hands-on experience and growth and will suit someone looking to develop their youth arts practice.

Production chaperone

You will support the youth theatre team at rehearsals and performances on the main stage. You will help to look after the children whilst they are backstage and ensure their welfare. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to learn more about what happens backstage developing their leadership skills with young people.

If you are interested in volunteering in the youth theatre, please contact us learning@storyhouse.com

We are not currently recruiting for new theatre volunteers. Please keep checking back here!
