Week One Build a Medusa Puppet
This week Jacob is going to help you to create a puppet. We will use the character Medusa from our story, complete with snake hair!
You will need:
- A newspaper
- A roll of masking tape
- A glue stick
- Scissors
- Wooden lolly stick/wooden spoon
- Colouring felt-tip pens

Now we are going to perform with our puppet!
In this video, Jacob will tell you about some of the techniques puppeteers use when performing with their puppets.

- Your imagination.

Week Two Create Masks
This week Jacob is going to tell you all about masks! With Jacob you will explore comedy and tragedy masks from Ancient Greek Theatre. Then you will get to make your very own mask!
You will need:
- 2 paper plates – 1 for comedy. 1 for tragedy.
- Colouring pens/pencils.
- Lolly stick.
- Masking tape.

Week Three Create a Comic (Parts 1 and 2)
This week you will create your own comic strip. We will use the story of Medusa and Perseus to help us make our comic this week!
You will need:
- The comic strip template. This will be in your pack. You can also download a copy here: COMIC STRIP TEMPLATE
- A pencil.
- Colouring pens/pencils.

Week Four The Finale!
This week you will perform the story of Medusa and Perseus using the puppet, masks and comic strip you’ve created over the previous weeks! If you haven’t finished them yet go back to the previous videos and finish you creations, then come right back here when you are ready!
You’ll need:
- Your imagination.
- Your Medusa puppet.
- Your comedy mask.
- Your tragedy mask.
- Your comic strip.
