Ballroom Dancers needed for A Little Night Music!

We need dancers for this summer’s production of Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music!

Storyhouse is proud to support local performers and emerging talent in Cheshire. We want to create meaningful opportunities for local performers.

We are now looking for pairs of Ballroom Dancers for our production of A Little Night Music. Please note these are unpaid roles aimed to give our community an opportunity to perform alongside our professional company.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for two couples who have at least 1 years training in ballroom, ballet or contemporary dancing. The couple can be a same sex couple. If you don’t have a dance partner you can still apply, as we will be able to pair you up with another applicant. You must be aged 17 and over to apply. We are particularly looking for one young couple and one couple aged 50+.

This brilliant opportunity requires committed and passionate dancers. You will get to work with professional choreographers, directors and musical directors as well as dancing alongside the professional company.

Storyhouse is an equal opportunities company. We welcome all applications from people within the community and we would particularly welcome applications from BAME and disabled applicants.

Time Requirements

You will be required to attend 8 rehearsals between 26 March and 28 April. The week after this beginning the 30th April is our technical week so it is essential you have good availability throughout this week. Please find the full performance schedule here. Ideally you will be available for all of these shows but we do have the option of using several couples throughout the run.

Audition date: Friday 23 March from 6.30pm to 8.30pm

The auditions will be a group-based choreography session.
